A rotor is never free from vibration owing to constant centrifugal force acting on it while rotating. practical has inherent mass unevenness flaw, or bearing misalignment self-weight bow presence of discontinuity cracks flaw. If the vibrations are not controlled within limits, rotor’s purpose existence lost. These can be synchronous if frequency equal to, multiple of, speed rotation rotor. Or may non-synchronous a its rotational frequency. Active magnetic bearings (AMBs) have been in use for control, suppression, stability and condition monitoring rotordynamic systems, since many years. lot authors performed various numerical experimental works an AMB–rotor configuration reported their findings. The goal this paper report present effect AMB solely non–synchronous rotors benefit scientific community. Firstly, briefly introduces constructional features system. Then, gist every written, as well specification work provided tabular form. Finally, some comments limitations future applications made. separately sectioned into investigations, investigations.
